Regular practice of yoga keeps the body healthy and calms our mind : Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra
Yoga is like music, the rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and Harmony of the soul and creates the symphony of life. It should not be limited to castes or religions, every person should practice in their daily life said Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra , Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) while addressing on the occasion of 4th international yoga day at NASC, complex New Delhi. Employee from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) HQ., assembled in the morning and performed yoga under the guidance of instructors of the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi.
Dr. Mohapatra said various international institutions conducted research on yoga and found, regular practice of yoga keeps the body healthy and peace in mind. Science has also recognized its advantages. He advised, youth should make yoga a part of their life. He further said today yoga day is celebrated by different nations. All credit goes to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who proposed International Day of Yoga.
International Day of Yoga is celebrated every year on 21st June. On December 11th, 2014, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, proposed to celebrate International Day of Yoga. The United Nations declared 21st June as the International Day of Yoga, which is now celebrated in whole word. ICAR and its institute situated all over India also marked the fourth anniversary of international yoga day.
Shri Chhabilendra Roul, Special Secretary (DARE) & Secretary (ICAR), Dr A.K.Singh, DDG (Agricultural Extension), Scientists, Technical, Administrative and Skilled supporting staff of ICAR-Headquarter enthusiastically participated in the Yoga celebration.
