Virtual Symposium on “Solar Energy in Post-Harvest Sector” organized

The ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology, Ludhiana, Punjab organized a Virtual Symposium on “Solar Energy in Post-Harvest Sector” today.

In his address, Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana highlighted the importance and relevance of solar energy in post-harvest sector.

The various topics like “Application of solar energy in cold chain”, “Sustainable energy options for drying” and “Application of solar energy in plant utilities of food processing”, etc., were discussed during the occasion.

The Virtual Symposium was aimed at apprising the participants about the various applications of solar energy in agricultural processing sector.

A total of 248 participants including Scientists, Academicians, Scholars and Entrepreneurs, etc., virtually participated in the Symposium.

The Virtual Symposium was organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence.
