Zonal Monitoring Team under NICRA Project led by Prof. MC Varshenya (Former VC of Kamdhanu University, Gandhinagar) visited two KVKs of Rajasthan State (Barmer-I and Jodghpur-I) during 27 to 28th September, 2018.
While interacting with staff at KVK Barmer the team urged to to scale-up the climate resilient technologies for the benefit of farming community.
At Purkhawas, NICRA village adopted by KVK Jodhpur-I Shri Purkha Ram, a marginal farmer has implemented IFS module successfully under NICRA project and he has encouraged several other farmers to adopt this module. The team interacted with other farmers, farm women and VCRMC members. ZMC appreciated the efforts of KVK team and active involvement of the partner farmers and urged to scale-up the beneficial interventions in the adjoining villages.
The team also visited Kharawas Luni adjoining NICRA village
Later, ZMC visited KVK Jodhpur and had interaction with KVK, where the Nodal Officer presented the progress of NICRA project
