ICAR Reviews Development of Domain-Specific iGOT Courses

The Agricultural Education Division, ICAR, organised an online review meeting to assess the development and digitisation of domain-specific courses on the iGOT Karmayogi platform. The meeting was chaired by Dr M. L. Jat, Secretary, DARE & Director General, ICAR.

Dr Jat directed all ICAR Institutes to develop and upload high-quality domain-specific courses after thorough internal review and in accordance with the prescribed guidelines. He emphasised the need for timely completion of the assigned work, including course development and uploading on the iGOT Karmayogi platform. He also stressed that all ICAR employees should regularly undertake learning on the platform and complete at least two hours of iGOT learning.

In his opening remarks, Dr Yashpal Singh Malik, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Education), ICAR, emphasised the need for timely action by all ICAR Institutes to strengthen the organisation’s performance under Mission Karmayogi. He noted that active participation by all Institutes would contribute towards improving ICAR’s position among the top five organisations at the national level.

Dr S. K. Sharma, Assistant Director General (HRM), ICAR, presented the progress made in the development of domain-specific courses and highlighted the need for coordinated efforts to achieve the targets within the stipulated timelines. He also proposed the vote of thanks.

The meeting emphasised coordinated and timely efforts by ICAR Institutes to strengthen domain-specific learning and contribute to the effective implementation of Mission Karmayogi through the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
