DG, ICAR Inaugurates New Gates at Bhuvan Research Farm, Hayatnagar

Dr M. L. Jat, Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR, visited the Bhuvan Research Farm of ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture at Hayatnagar, Hyderabad today.

During the visit, Dr Jat inaugurated the newly constructed gates at the Bhuvan Research Farm in the presence of Directors of nearby ICAR institutes. He also planted a sapling on the farm as part of the visit.

Dr. Jat appreciated CRIDA’s initiatives in developing location-specific technologies and its commitment to empowering farmers through capacity-building programmes. He emphasized the importance of systematically documenting the institute’s achievements to enhance its visibility. He further encouraged the staff to focus on scalable, farmer-centric solutions aligned with national priorities on climate-resilient agriculture and natural resource management.

An interaction session with ICAR-CRIDA staff was held subsequently. At the outset, Dr. V. K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA, briefed the Director General on the facilities available at the research farm and the ongoing research activities.
