The Module-III Training Programme for Assistants under Reform Utsav 2026 is being organised from 05–16 October 2026 at ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. The first batch comprises 50 participants from ICAR Headquarters and various ICAR institutes, including IARI, IASRI, NBPGR, NIAEPR, NIPB and NRIIPM.

The inaugural programme was graced by Shri Gyanendra Dev Tripathi, Additional Secretary, DARE & Secretary, ICAR and Dr Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.

A key highlight of the programme was the special lecture on “AI for Smarter Administration” delivered by Shri Tripathi. The session provided participants with valuable insights into the potential of Artificial Intelligence in transforming administrative processes, improving efficiency, enabling informed decision-making and promoting smarter and more responsive governance.

The Secretary highlighted the need to embrace emerging technologies and develop a forward-looking approach to administration while ensuring accountability, transparency and responsible use of technology. The interaction provided participants an opportunity to understand how AI can be integrated into routine administrative functions and contribute to improved productivity and service delivery.

The session was particularly significant in the context of Reform Utsav 2026, which seeks to promote a culture of innovation, simplification, efficiency and improved governance. The programme, through its series of expert lectures and interactive sessions, is providing a valuable platform for capacity building and cross-institutional learning, contributing towards a more efficient, technology-enabled and future-ready administrative system in ICAR.
