Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland Visit to ICAR Research Complex for NEH Nagaland Centre, Medziphema, Nagaland

Shri Nand Kishore Yadav, Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland, paid an official visit to the ICAR Research Complex for NEH Nagaland Centre, Medziphema today.

The Hon’ble Governor was received by Dr H. Kalita, HoRC, ICAR Nagaland Centre, along with senior officials and scientists. During his visit to the ICAR Nagaland Centre research Farm, Dr H. Kalita briefed the Hon’ble Governor on the Centre’s mandate, ongoing research programmes, conservation efforts, breeding initiatives, and technological interventions aimed at the sustainable development of agri and allied farming in the North Eastern Hill Region.

The Governor also interacted with scientists and beneficiaries and witnessed various agricultural technologies and research demonstrations. Agricultural inputs were distributed to selected beneficiaries during the programme.

During the formal programme held at the conference hall of ICAR–NRCM, Dr H. kalita presented the major achievements, research accomplishments, outreach activities, and future roadmap of the Centre. In his address, the Hon’ble Governor commended the efforts of ICAR institutions in promoting sustainable agriculture, livestock development, and livelihood enhancement in the region. He appreciated the significant contributions of ICAR–Nagaland centre under the leadership of Dr H. Kalita towards conservation, genetic improvement, value addition, and scientific management of crops and livestock.

The programme was attended by scientists, officials, farmers, beneficiaries, students, and invited guests.
