Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dhalai successfully organized the Khet Bachao Abhiyan at Salema and Kulai villages of Dhalai district with the participation of more than 400 farmers. The programme aimed to create awareness on sustainable agriculture, soil health management, balanced fertilizer use, and Natural Farming practices.
The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Sri Sudhangshu Das, Minister, S.C Welfare, Fisheries & ARDD Department, Government of Tripura. Other distinguished dignitaries present on the occasion included Sri Manoj Kanti Deb, MLA, 45-Kamalpur Assembly Constituency; Smt. Swapna Das Paul, MLA, 46-Surma Assembly Constituency; Sri Joydeb Debbarma, State-level Social Activist; Smt. Dipti Deb Rakshit, President, Dhalai Zila Parishad; Smt. Susmita Das, Sabhadhipati, Dhalai; Sri Anadi Sarkar, Saha-Sabhadhipati, Dhalai; Sri Bimal Debbarma, Chairman, BAC, Dhalai; President Agri standing committee, Zilla parishad, Kisan Morcha National Executive Member Sri Birendra Das, State Vice President Kisan Morcha Sri Joydeb Debbarma, District President Kisan Morcha, Dy. Director of Agriculture, Dhalai, DDA, DDH , SAs , officials of the Agriculture Department, Krishi Sakhis, more than 500 Farmers and scientists of KVK Dhalai.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries highlighted the importance of the Khet Bachao Abhiyan in promoting eco-friendly farming practices and improving soil fertility through Natural Farming. They encouraged farmers to adopt sustainable agricultural technologies to enhance productivity while conserving natural resources.
Scientists of KVK Dhalai interacted with the farmers and shared technical knowledge on soil health management, balanced nutrient use, and low-cost sustainable farming practices. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from farmers, reflecting their growing interest in environmentally sustainable agriculture.
